           Holidays can be a time of joy and celebration, but they can also be a source of stress. In this blog, I will share tips and tricks for having a stress-free holiday.

&lt;div&gt;&#xD;

           The Holiday Season is an exciting time of the year. But it can also be very stressful. I was reminded of this when I dog sat my “grand pup” P.J. P.J. is an adorable Maltese puppy. I had him in the office as I was decorating for the Holidays. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            While I was putting up decorations, P.J. was running around frantically because he could hear the other dogs barking at the shop around the corner. The barks from the other dogs threw him into a frenzy.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Observing his behavior, I provided him with other calming distractions that P.J. chose to ignore. And instead, he was running around the office and getting more stressed by the minute. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
&lt;div&gt;&#xD;

           In fact, by the time that we were ready to pack up, P.J. even looked different. His usually shiny coat of hair now appeared wiry and frazzled. His eyes looked weary, and he looked exhausted. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            It occurred to me that while the Holidays are a time to celebrate and reflect on our blessings and enjoy our families and our loved ones. It can also be a source of stress, but we all have choices. Will chose to be frantic, like P.J. or will we choose a different route?
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Let’s explore some of the best ways to keep your holiday stress-free.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;h3&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
            
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/h3&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;h3&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            1. Set realistic expectations:
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/h3&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Setting realistic expectations can help keep your stress levels low - that's always a good thing! Mindfulness and taking the time to break down larger tasks into smaller, more manageable goals can help alleviate stress.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
            
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           It's a great way to make those goals feel much more achievable and helps keep you on track. By doing this, you'll be able to stay focused on what needs to be done, one step at a time, and can prevent yourself from feeling overwhelmed or stressed out by the task at hand.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
            
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            2. Know Your Limits:
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/h3&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            We all get overwhelmed sometimes, but it is essential to recognize when it's getting to be too much for you.  At that point you should take a break. This doesn't necessarily mean you need to take the day off.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
            
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            You may just need to do something small, like going for a 10-minute walk or taking 5 minutes to meditate, can help clear your head and put things into perspective. This mindful approach will help you stay stress-free and manage your time better. Knowing your limits is essential to keeping your stress levels down. After all, nobody's superhuman!
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
            
          &#xD;

           Acknowledging our capabilities and pushing ourselves only to those limits will help us be more productive, ultimately reducing the stress we experience. In short, it's important to recognize the importance of knowing where our own boundaries lie and respecting them.

    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
            
          &#xD;

            3. Prioritize Self-Care:

    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Take a few moments during the day to do something you enjoy that makes you feel relaxed. Whether you're reading, listening to music, or taking a walk, taking breaks throughout the day can help reduce stress and improve your mood. Taking time for yourself - even if it is just for a few minutes - can have a huge impact on how stress-free you feel.

Whether it's a high-intensity full-body workout or a calming yoga session, getting your physical activity in can make all the difference in reducing stress and providing you with sustainable energy.

    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;

           Exercise helps increase endorphins, which are hormones that help reduce stress levels and provide an overall feeling of well-being.

          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

           Meditation is a great way to relax and be in the present moment. Taking regular moments throughout the day for intentional or guided meditation can make all the difference in managing your stress levels. Keeping up with your hobbies and spending time with those you care about can also be beneficial for managing stress levels as it helps create a sense of balance in life.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
            
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

           4. Plan in Advance:
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/h3&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;h3&gt;&#xD;

      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/h3&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           If you can, make plans in advance of the Christmas holiday. This will help reduce the stress of last-minute planning and uncertainty about what to do and when to do it. Whether you are planning a vacation, a family get-together, or a holiday dinner, being intentional about when you’re going to do things can make your life so much simple. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;

    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Find time to plan and organize your trip's details well in advance so that you don't have to worry about them on the day you’re supposed to leave. Even if you’re traveling within the same city, having a plan and being organized will help minimize stress and confusion on the big day.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;

  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Similarly, if you are hosting a holiday dinner or gathering, spending some time beforehand planning the menu, prep work, and guest list will save you from last-minute stress and anxiety.

    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;

           5. Don’t Overcommit Yourself:

      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Stop and think about whether you really want to take on that extra task or volunteer opportunity. Being overly committed makes everything more stressful, whether at work, at home, or in your personal life.
           &#xD;

    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;

            Sometimes, we feel the need to say “yes” to every request that comes our way, even if we’re already busy with our regular routines. However, it’s important to remember that too much–especially when it’s unexpected–can make anyone feel overwhelmed.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
            
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Before you say “yes,” consider how doing something extra will impact you. Would it be okay if you did less or did something differently? If so, then maybe there’s a way to say no gracefully.

  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
            
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

           By leveraging these tips, you can ensure that this holiday season will be filled with more joy and less stress. And you won’t find yourself feeling my stressed-out “grand pup”.

    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;

            To begin make a commitment to yourself, with a focus on finding your hearts desires, setting your intentions, living with a gracious state of mind, and remembering to breathe deeply will have you calm, happy, and focused as you enjoy every moment of your day’s even the difficult day’s will have purpose and will teach you more and more about yourself.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;

    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Let’s start with a few easy to work in habits I am listing below that will have a positive impact on your emotional, mental, and physical wellness.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
&lt;div data-rss-type="text"&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            1.     Every morning take a few moments before getting up from your sleep to be grateful to 5-10 aspects of your current life. This could be your physical health, your children, career, friends, family, co-workers your relationships, get specific about these aspects of your life in gratitude, such as the way your partner, or friends always listen to you, or the work you do impacting your community, or clients that you support, doing this will help you shift into a positive state of mind, and when you do start your day your voice, and tone will be upbeat and energetic.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            2.    Set your intention in a 10-minute meditation in the morning after you shower, drinking a glass of water before you sit down for your mindful meditation will help your body apply the oxygen you will receive by breathing deeply through your noise and out your mouth. If you have children, this is a great time to also introduce them to mindfulness and set them up for a wonderful day ahead as well. While you are listening to your thoughts for the day in meditation set your intentions on what you want to give to your day, and what you want to receive from your day.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            3.     At the end of your day do this same routine, after dinner, and you have had your shower, go back into meditation for 10 minutes reflecting on your day visualize all the things that went well, be kind and compassionate for the lessons given to you, if your day was difficult this is a great time to just breath, and decompress to let all the stress go. Set your intention for receiving a good night’s rest, and thank your body for giving you all you needed
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           4.     Before you go to sleep reflect on 5-10 things that you are grateful for, such as getting home safe, seeing your children enjoy their accomplishments, sharing a moment with your friends, or things that went well in your community, reflecting on positive aspects of the day will allow you to sleep peacefully. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;

      <title>How Do I create a Habit?</title>

           To overcome anything, you must conquer the negative thoughts, and stay consistent. You will notice negative thoughts throughout the day, or even during your mindful practice. That is expected.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
&lt;div data-rss-type="text"&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            I teach a thought process
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           which is, when you have negative thoughts that are not in alignment with who you are, or what you want from your world, uncreate and destroy that thought by saying:
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            “I am uncreating this thought, it does not belong to me, and I am returning it to the sender.”
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            This is a great way to even laugh at those negative thoughts that you do not understand or want in your heart, or mind. I love to do this because I found that I am more aware of my thoughts and how they impact my mood and energy, and it is very empowering to uncreate and destroy thoughts that do not belong to us, then returning them to the sender.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Try this, I know That you will enjoy how this feels in the moment, and I know you will feel in control of your daily mindset over time.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Getting organized by adding your self-care practice to your schedule will help you stay on track. Seeing the time on your calendar will help you remember and give you something to look forward to.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Allowing 20 minutes in the morning and evening on your calendar to do your mindful meditation, and gratitude practice will allow you to remember to do this daily, once you have a month under your belt you will find that if you skip a day for what ever reason, you will instantly get back into the habit of this because your emotional and mental body will crave this practice.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Remember to always have compassion for yourself. If you miss a day, or a week congratulate yourself for coming back to you and thank yourself in doing so. Anytime Shame, or guilt try to set in remember to uncreate that and return it to the sender.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Your natural state of being is Joy, and peace.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

            Grab your shoes and get outdoors, the sun is good for natural vitamin D. This is great to do with your kids before breakfast, and about 30 minutes after dinner daily. This is also a great time to connect with your loved ones if you choose to allow them to tag along with you, and if they are not willing to move with you, that’s ok, this allows you time to yourself, for yourself.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Do not worry as your family, and loved ones uncover your wellness lifestyle they will notice and possibly join you over time or incorporate these habits into their life as well. If you need more maybe starting a community walk club or joining a walk group in your area can be fun and a great way to socialize with your neighbors which I believe our communities need more of. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
